MICROSOFT INVESTS $1 BILLION IN CYBERSECURITY

MICROSOFT REVEALS IT’S CYBER-SECURITY BUDGET WHICH IS ABOUT $1 BILLION WHICH IS ENOUGH TO SETUP YOUR OWN NEW BRAND BUT MICROSOFT USE THIS AMOUNT FOR IT’S CYBER-SECURITY RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT PER YEAR.

 

Do you know Microsoft gets around 600,000-700,000 attempts to cyber-attack but as we know Microsoft is enough strong to stop them. As Microsoft is famous for its windows software, it have shifted its focus to the cloud where it’s competing with larger cloud server amazon.com

In October it is found that Microsoft cloud product Azure which can be used to host different websites,apps or data rose by 116%. Microsoft invest in it’s cyber security as well as he bought 3 different security firms, which are situated in Israel (all firms).
In only 2 years Microsoft enterprise security startup Aorato,cloud security firm Adallom and Secure islands of which data and file protection has been integrated with it’s azure information protection cloud servers.
(Financial details about these deals were kept confidential and were not disclosed)

Microsoft’s Venture arm also invested in 3 different firms in Israel including an amazing in Illusive network which uses deception technology and detect all kind of attacks and this has been installed in banks and retailers as it is very secure. In addition of that Microsoft also invested in “Israel’s Team8 which creates illusive Networks.

Though Microsoft Never planned to use any kind of deception technology as it said “We look at lots of different technologies that might be of use in future” – Shah. He believes that in coming next 2 years Microsoft should be move towards broader implementation of user authentication without need of password. it will be amazing and we are waiting for it.

Microsoft’s windows 10 OS have feature named windows Hello which allow you to scan your face or fingerprint to verify your identity and use it as your password.
